TMNet Streamyx

You just need a normal phone line and a 56K modem. You need a special broadband 'modem'.
Customers are charged according to the hours spent online. Customers are charged on a flat rate for a speed, which is much higher. Meaning customer pay a fixed amount for time period, which can vary.
Limited connection speed of 56k. Fast connection speeds - 384k, 512k, 1M, 2M or 4M depending on the package subscribed.
On a normal dial-up connection, it takes about 1 minute 30 seconds to download a 500kb file. On average, it takes about 13.74 seconds to download a 500kb file over a 384Kbps connection.
